Swan Song is a cozy and emotional puzzle game that invites players to program a music box using notes of various shapes and sizes to solve intricate puzzles. By turning the key and letting the music guide the swan through the level, players must master perfect timing and thoughtful note placement to progress. The game features nine chapters of story, fully voice-acted, with 108 puzzles to complete alongside secret levels to discover. A heartfelt soundtrack of 11 tracks, composed by Jamal Green, enhances the experience, complementing the unfolding narrative that reveals the music box creator’s poignant story of family, loss, and grief. As you delve deeper, you uncover an old, mysterious music box filled with personal artifacts—this final masterpiece, known as the “swan song,” serves as a tribute to its creator’s family. With every puzzle solved, fragments of a touching tale emerge, exploring themes of grief, memories, and regret, while confronting the realities of death and terminal illness. In addition to the rich story and gameplay, the developers plan to support Swan Song with free updates post-launch, including bug fixes, a level editor for custom content creation, and enhanced controller and Steam Deck support. Console versions are also under consideration, promising ongoing improvements and new ways to engage with this moving musical journey.
