Scrap Mechanic – Physics & Wedge brings major improvements to the game’s physics system. This new update adds all of the physics: No more lag, objects can collide with one another, and all the other good stuff that makes stacking and throwing stuff around the map much easier. The updates also bring a performance boost but complex creations can still cause lag.
New smart physics will be active in new worlds by default, but old worlds will need to be manually set to the new physics settings. This can be done by adjusting the settings under Options > Gameplay > Physics quality.
A new feature called wedges has been added, allowing players to create shapes and designs that were not possible before. New parts have been integrated with the update too, one of which is the Farmbot Target Part, the other is the Window with Curtains. In Creative mode, spaceship parts previously limited to Survival mode are now available.
The team also made updates for multiplayer performance as well that makes playing with friends easier. There’s still work to be done, with the next chapter of the game releasing further dow the line, as well as additional fixes coming soon.
