NoseBound Overview
NoseBound follows Ray Hammond, an aged private investigator with a dark history. Ray solves cases in the way you would never guess, and one day he senses a case that gets him into a heap of trouble. Paranormal events befall him and he is in mortal physical peril. Narrative unfolds via dialogue and cutscenes, beginning with the ending and then flashing back to the beginning.
This is a third-person detective adventure (it switches to first-person camera at times). The game combines some noir vibes with mysticism as most of the graphics are in black and white with some grainy film filter. Very few bright colors, to emphasize important objects.
Gameplay is similar to other detective games. You move between locations and speak with other characters. Seek evidence and you solve puzzles. You can pick locks, ladder up, and pop windows. You can be creating a new tool and combine the items in your inventory. The action is occasionally gravity-defying: chases and shootouts and other such movie like scenes.
