Falling with Ice Phoenix! takes you on an action laden journey where you have to take control of a character and use your skills to dodge the danger. Players use the left and right arrow keys to move and special abilities to dodge devastating boss attacks. The recovery of energy that you unleash towards engaging the bosses gives you a moment of invincibility, letting you take them head-on.
Combining pixelart with Japanese JRPG-style illustrations, featuring boss levels and unexpected graphical spins, the game offers a one of a kind goling experience to its players. Each boss has an appearance and attack pattern which will test your reflexes. You unlock bosses as playable characters once you beat them, each can be used in different abilities and skills.
It sports cute stylized floors, new mid-air mechanics, and punishing classic Japanese action game mechanics. As players move through each level to try to defeat the increasingly-difficult bosses, they have to quickly decide what not to hit, and develop strategies to keep moving forward.
The full version has new pixel animations and Japanese voice acting that runs the immersion up to eleven. It follows Tavaro, who crash-lands in the Sky Tower, where he teams up with Frostia, a friendly AI, to recover a lost magical artifact, encountering monsters and traps along the way.
