Caribbean Legend – Ships Pack: Part I is the first part of a five-part DLC series that brings legendary ships to the Caribbean. Chapter 1: The Galleon Santa Misericordia Setting sail from the scenic shores of New Spain, the galleon Santa Misericordia embarked upon a voyage filled with both promise and turmoil. Commanded by Captain Don Fernando de Alamida, a man of strong faith navigating his own personal tragedy, this majestic ship would face the tides of fate head on, forever changing the lives of all who tread her decks. Although he seems noble, he is hiding dark secrets, and his mission to rid the colonies of corruption is not what it seems.
This DLC introduces a new event on the global map, and it’s playable in both story and sandbox modes. You can collect rumors, meet him, and learn more about his story in the Spanish cities Don Fernando frequents. Along the way, you can acquire unique items such as either a holy sword or a mysterious ward and do battle with an epic boss against this master captain. He’s some pipsqueak, not yet a real-life pirate though you’ll get his fancy galleon and trigger a story arc if you beat him.
There are also four brand new achievements and some tips for success. Instead of attacking the galleon immediately, gather information from the cities it visits. Using new items and Christian amulets can give you an advantage in battle. However, attacking in port can lead to heavy bounties, so plan carefully. Fictions purpose is to help you understand the importance of these and how they drive the narrative behind the game.
